It's True -- The Club is Going Private

At The Golf Club at South River's recent Town Hall Meeting, General Manager, Mike Kriel and Chief Executive Officer of The Brick Companies, Lex Birney announced that effective November 1, 2011, The Golf Club at South River will go completely private.  Starting November 1, golf will be exclusive to Members and their Guests only (with the exclusion of charity golf outings).

Also, plans were unveiled for the two-story addition to the Clubhouse that are planned to include a state of the art fitness facility, Kid's Club, and men's and ladies locker rooms with steam showers. The addition will also include a full service golf shop with an indoor golf instruction area.

The main level of the Clubhouse will remain as the home of The Bistro and will continue to be open to the public for lunch and dinner.

A new open air dining room and banquet area - the Adirondack Room - will be constructed adjacent to The Bistro offering a casual atmosphere and an ideal area for dinner and private gatherings.
